Pupils are inspired to gain a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives. We believe in equipping pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.

In KS1 our Geography curriculum is focused on developing pupils knowledge about the world, the UK and our immediate locality. At this stage they will be taught key vocabulary relating to the human and physical aspects of Geography. We believe that outdoor learning is integral to learning and through this children will begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observations which enhance their understanding and knowledge.

In KS2 our pupils knowledge and understanding is extended beyond the UK to include Europe, North and South America and other areas of the globe. They will investigate locations and characteristics, both human and physical, of a range of the World’s significant regions.
