At Coupe Green we believe that trips are a fantastic way to launch new learning themes and enable children to apply and explore prior learning. Each class across school has the opportunity to take part in a trip linked to their theme within the school year. Special visitors, such as Fire Fighters, Police, Nurses, Farmers and Military personnel, are also invited into school to enhance learning and broaden the children’s experiences.
Taking part in residential trips is also extremely valuable, enabling children to develop strong friendships, take risks, try new things and develop independence.
For example in 2018/19 our Year 6 children visited Robinwood for 3 days, where they were able to take part in outdoor activities consisting of canoeing, raft building, gorge walking and various problem solving challenges.
