Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is additional funding for schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low income families, who are currently known to be eligible from Free School Meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.  It is also used for pupils who have been on the FSM register but no longer qualify.  Schools are free to decide how to allocate this funding to support the raising of attainment and progress for the most vulnerable pupils.
