This half term, in Acorn Class, the children have been busy learning about their theme ‘Once Upon a Time’. They have been sharing a range of fairy tales including ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and ‘Hansel and Gretel’, baking their own gingerbread houses, creating a raft that floats to help the Gingerbread Man get across the river, tasting lots of different fruits and toppings to put on their own bowl of porridge, like Goldilocks, and making their own fairy tale character shadow puppet!
To celebrate all their hard work and conclude their learning, Acorn Class enjoyed a special Theme Day with their own magical Fairy Tale Ball. The children came to school dressed up as fairy tale characters and enjoyed activities such as writing invitations to their class mates, preparing royal snacks and making crowns to wear to the party. Everyone had a fabulous, fairy tale day!
