Preschool Provision - Ofsted Registration Number 119319
There will be 10 places available per session, and the children will be taught alongside our Reception children by Miss Brooks and Mrs Byrne. We are confident that our Early Years provision will continue to be outstanding, with the addition of our preschool children.
Morning sessions will run from 8.45am-11.45am.
Afternoon sessions will run from 12.15pm-3.15pm.
Lunchtime sessions will be available from 11.45am-12.15pm, and can be added onto morning or afternoon sessions.
Our preschool is open Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks per year).
If you require before and after school care we do have a Kids Club which preschool children can access. Breakfast Club runs from 7.30 until 8.40am at a cost of £5, and 3.15 until 5.45pm at a cost of £10 per session.
All children who are 3 years old by 31 August will be considered for admission from September of the same year. Each child is entitled to 15 hours per week of free universal provision during term time and some families may be entitled to an additional 15 hours extended provision.
A full school day is 6.5 hours and if needed, families can pay for additional hours at a cost of £5.70 per hour. We also accept Tax Free Childcare Vouchers, and further information about any of the above can be obtained from the school office.
Children staying for the full school day can bring a packed lunch or purchase a school dinner for an additional charge of £2.90 per day.
Preschool children may be offered the opportunity to go on an annual class trip at an extra cost, but this will be optional, and your child would still be able to attend preschool as normal if you chose for them not to go on the trip.
Preschool application forms are available below or, on request, from the school office.
Once we have received your application we will consider it in line with Lancashire’s Nursery Admissions Policy which can be found here. You will receive a pack from school confirming whether you have received a place. This will include an acceptance form, parental agreement and further information about lunchtime and before & after school care if applicable.
Prior to accepting the offer you should be committed to your child regularly attending. Places may be withdrawn where attendance is unsatisfactory.
If you are not offered a place your child’s name will be placed on the school waiting list. If places become available these will be offered in accordance with the admission criteria.
Please note that admissions to primary school reception classes are a completely separate process from preschool classes. If you have a child on roll at preschool he/she will not automatically get a place in our school. For primary school admissions there is a different application procedure.
Once we have your acceptance form and parental agreement, we will send you out a welcome pack with all the relevant information.
